How do you take payments?
I use Artistree for all my work. You can pay through them with either a credit / debit card, Stripe, or a PayPal account.
How long do I have to pay for my commission once I’ve been accepted?
Invoices are sent out 48 hours (barring unforeseen events) after commissions are closed. If you are accepted and receive an invoice, you will have 2 days to complete your payment. If you cannot complete the payment before that date, your commission will be canceled.
Can I get a price quote before I commission you?
You are free to email / DM me at any time for a quote on a future commission. If you’d like a price quote, please supply detailed specific information about your commission! If you’d like a general price range for commissions, you can also check out my prices HERE!
I made the queue but cannot pay in 2 days.
What should I do?
If circumstances arise that would limit your ability to pay the invoice when it is due, please contact me so I can do my best to work out something with you. I do not start commissions until payment is received in full.
I made the queue but I cannot pay. Can I cancel?
You are allowed to cancel your commission at any point. If you have paid for it but work has not yet begun, you will receive a full refund. If I have begun work on your commission, you will receive a partial refund based on the amount of work completed. Unless contacted, I will cancel any invoices that go unpaid beyond the payment date and notify the commissioner to inform them of the cancellation.
I can’t afford a commission - do you take payment plans?
I don’t accept payment plans for commissions and require them up front.
Do you take requests?
Sorry, I do not take requests unless I make an announcement through my social media platforms.
Where can I find your commission's queue?
You can view my current queue on my Trello.
I’d like to reach out to discuss a commission idea before applying. How can I contact you?
I keep my work communication strictly to email, Discord, and Telegram. Please do not reach out through social media DM / PM’s.
I would like to commission but your form says that you’re not open. Can I still commission you?
You are welcome to ask, however, it is unlikely I will not take commissions outside of opening day each month.
Are commission slots guaranteed once I’ve filled out the application?
No, slots are not guaranteed and not processed on a first come first served. I choose commissions after receiving all the applications and closing the forms.
How do you choose commissions?
I choose commissions based on a number of different criteria, most of which center around clarity and completeness applications.Things I consider when selecting an application:
Whether the form has been fully filled-out (VERY IMPORTANT!)
How clear and detailed descriptions and reference images are.
Any themes or topics prohibited by my ToS.
How many times the commissioner has applied in the past.
How well the idea / theme matches with my art style.
How many different applications I receive for different commission types.
Past experiences working with the commissioner.
I understand that English is not the first language of many commissioners and will do my best to work around any grammar or spelling issues, and do not treat such issues as a negative when selecting commissions. If you believe there may be a language barrier issue when applying, please let me know!
Why do you not do first come, first served?
I receive too many forms every month to viably switch to a first come first served model. This way, I am able to accurately schedule out work for the month and people are given a fair chance to commission me.
Why was my form rejected?
The majority of rejections are due to the limits in my schedule and the amount of applications received. Other common reasons for rejections include missing information in the application, unusable reference images, and topics or themes prohibited by my ToS.If you’d like to know why the application was rejected, please reach out to me via email!
I filled out a form - how do I know if I made the queue or not?
Those who are selected for the queue will be contacted within 48 hours. Artistree will also send out a notification if a commission is accepted or declined.
When can I expect my commission to be finished?
Please allow anywhere from 1 day to 3 months for the completion of the commission. If I can’t finish it in a reasonable time, I will notify you and we can work something out. You can view the status of your commission through my Trello.
Why do all commissions come with a Work in Progress (WIP)?
I use WIP’s for each commission as a way to improve commission quality and to reduce the edits to finished pieces.
I emailed you about something, when can I expect a response?
I try to answer emails first thing in the morning when I am available during business hours of the week.
I DM’d you on Twitter / DA / FA / IB about commissions but didn’t see a response.
Please directly email me, as I do not actively monitor DM’s or other social media while I am not working.
Where is the best place to get updates from you?
If you have a commission in the queue, I will email you with any updates. You are free to email me at any time with questions about your commission or check your status on my Trello.
The subject I want isn’t specifically listed in your ToS - will you draw it?
I handle these subjects on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to email me with any questions.
Where do you post your finished commissions?
I try to post all of my commissioned art (barring some very small Telegram sticker packs and commissions taken under agreements of anonymity) to my FurAffinity, DeviantART, InkBunny., and Twitter.
